About Guild Forging

Guild Forging is a home for WoW guild leaders who want their guild to be more than a name under a character.

Free tools, guides and a course to help you turn your guild into a brand.

Why it exists

A guild tag is easy to ignore. A guild with a look, a voice and a story is not.

Colliding Stars was the first guild where I went all in on branding, and it was the first time I felt I’d made something special. When Season of Discovery was announced, I started Explorers League and took it further, with fully custom branding in our recruitment ads and a carefully built Discord. It grew to well over 200 members, and many of them told me they picked us over other guilds because of exactly that.

That taught me something I haven’t stopped believing: branding isn’t decoration. It gives people a reason to choose you and a reason to stay. It builds trust and turns a name into something far more. Yet very few guilds ever get there, mostly because nobody shows them how. Guild Forging is my attempt to change that.

Branding in practice

Remedy is the guild I’m building right now with my mate Zykodin. It’s a Horde raiding guild with the tagline “The Cure for Bad Pugs”, fully custom branded and with its own website at wowremedy.eu (opens in a new tab). It’s a live example of everything I want to teach here. We’ll be playing on an EU PvE realm in World of Warcraft: Forever, so feel free to come by and say hi!

If you’d rather hand it off, I’ll take on guild branding, visual identity, and Discord servers and bots.

Who’s behind it

Hi, I’m Tom, short for Tomislav, from Croatia. I’ve played WoW since 2004, and it has shaped my life more than any other game. Over the years I made visuals for XPoff, a twinking community, and for the unofficial WoW forums, and I’ve led several guilds as guild master and officer. I studied graphic design, earned a bachelor’s degree in graphic technology, and wrote my thesis on branding in esports. Today I run my own design studio, and I love building Discord servers and bots. When Forever launches, I plan to play a lot.
