Position Overview

We are seeking an Environmental Compliance Specialist to manage and support environmental compliance programs within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, conducting inspections, and driving corrective actions to maintain compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor environmental compliance, including permits, licenses, applications, and records
  • Conduct facility inspections, track audit schedules, and ensure timely follow-up on corrective actions
  • Identify compliance issues and develop effective corrective action plans
  • Maintain and update the Intellex Program, including monthly reporting
  • Act as a technical resource to resolve issues related to production, quality, and compliance
  • Perform compliance audits and determine appropriate corrective measures
  • Provide technical support and compliance training to internal teams
  • Ensure implementation and adherence to environmental policies and procedures
  • Support environmental projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree in Environmental Science or a related field
  • 5 7 years of experience in environmental compliance or related field
  • Strong knowledge of 40 CFR regulations
  • Wastewater license required
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local environmental regulations
Preferred Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with compliance systems (e.g., Intellex or similar platforms)
  • Ability to manage audits and regulatory inspections
  • Excellent communication and training skills
