The Pediatric Psychiatric RN provides clinical support, triage, and care coordination for children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 0–25) receiving behavioral health services. The RN works collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team, supporting Psychiatrist and Nurse Practitioners, crisis intervention, care plan implementation, and ongoing patient and family education.
Provide telehealth-based clinical support to pediatric and young adult patients and their families.
Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, care managers, and mental health providers (Coaches, Therapists and Psychologists). CoCM collaboration with health systems - including collaboration with Pediatricians and PCPs
Within RN scope of practice, perform nursing assessment and triage of psychiatric symptoms, safety concerns, and medication-related questions; provide patient and caregiver education and escalate clinical concerns to the licensed prescriber as indicated.
Within RN scope of practice, support safe medication management by reinforcing education, monitoring for side effects or adherence concerns, and communicating observations to the prescribing provider.
Participate in interdisciplinary case reviews and care planning discussions.
Document assessments, triage decisions, and patient communications accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards.
Monitor patient progress using data-informed and outcome-driven approaches.
Support quality improvement initiatives and adherence to clinical protocols.
Maintain professional, therapeutic communication in both synchronous and asynchronous telehealth formats.
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in at least one U.S. state (multi-state licensure preferred).
Compact License strongly preferred.
Experience in psychiatric/mental health nursing required.
Pediatric behavioral health experience preferred.
Experience collaborating with psychiatrists, psychiatric NPs, and PCPs (CoCM Collaborative Care Model experience preferred).
Strong therapeutic communication skills.
Experience working in telehealth or virtual care environments preferred.
Comfortable using web-based clinical systems and data tracking tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
$85,000 - $85,000 a year
The anticipated starting base salary range for a full-time Pediatric Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) at Lyra is between $85,000 - $85,000 annually. The base salary is determined by role and placement within the range, and will depend on a number of job-related factors, including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, and location.
At Lyra, base salary is only one aspect of an employee’s total compensation package, which may additionally include monthly variable measurement based compensation, comprehensive healthcare coverage, retirement benefits, and time off with pay.
